# Preview data and Data sets

Preview your imported data in Coupler.io before running an export. Verify data structure, check for issues, and review up to 500 rows per source.

Preview data and transformation (Data sets) allow you to have more control over your data, helping you to ensure its accuracy and consistency, which is essential for successful data analysis and reporting.

### Preview data

This preview feature allows users to view their data before exporting it into the spreadsheet or table, giving them the opportunity to detect any issues or inconsistencies before it is exported.

1. Once you complete the source configuration, you’ll see the option to preview and transform your data
2. When you click on it, Coupler.io returns a window with two or more tabs (depending on how many sources you have enabled). The **Preview results** tab will show the data values that will be imported into your destination file. If the data does not need any transformation, you could click on Proceed and continue setting up your importer.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.coupler.io/functionality/preview-data/preview-data-and-data-sets.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
