FAQ

chevron-rightCan I import an Excel file saved on my local computer?hashtag

No. Coupler.io can only access Excel files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint. If your file is saved locally, upload it to OneDrive first, then connect it through the file picker. Once it's in OneDrive, any changes you save locally (if OneDrive sync is enabled) will be reflected in future Coupler.io runs.

chevron-rightCan I import multiple sheets from the same workbook?hashtag

Yes. In the Sheet(s) field, enter each sheet name on a new line. Coupler.io will pull data from all listed tabs. If you want to stack the data from multiple sheets into one table, enable the Append transformation and turn on Skip header so column headers aren't repeated.

chevron-rightCan I connect Excel files stored in SharePoint (not just personal OneDrive)?hashtag

Yes. SharePoint files appear in the file picker as long as you have read access to the document library. If a file isn't showing up, check that it's been shared with your account and that your Microsoft 365 admin hasn't restricted third-party app access to SharePoint.

chevron-rightDoes Coupler.io sync formulas or just the values?hashtag

Only the calculated values are exported — not the formula expressions. So if a cell contains =SUM(A1:A10), Coupler.io will import the resulting number, not the formula itself.

chevron-rightCan I do a two-way sync between Excel and Google Sheets?hashtag

Coupler.io supports one-way data flows — from Excel to your chosen destination. It does not write data back to Excel. If you need to keep both files in sync bidirectionally, that's not a use case Coupler.io currently supports.

chevron-rightWhy is data missing after my import runs?hashtag

The most common causes are: the sheet name doesn't match exactly (check for typos or extra spaces), the Range parameter is too narrow and excludes some rows, or the sheet contains hidden rows that aren't exported. See the Common Issues article for a full troubleshooting guide.

chevron-rightCan I import images or charts from my Excel workbook?hashtag

No. Coupler.io imports cell values only. Images, embedded charts, shapes, and other visual objects are not included.

chevron-rightCan I connect multiple Excel workbooks in one data flow?hashtag

Yes. You can add multiple sources to a single data flow — each pointing to a different Excel file. Use the Append transformation to combine their data into one unified table, or Join to merge them on a common key.

chevron-rightCan I send Excel data to an AI tool like ChatGPT or Gemini?hashtag

Yes. Coupler.io supports AI destinations including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Cursor, and OpenClaw. You can route your Excel data directly to these tools for analysis, summarization, or other AI-powered tasks.
