FAQ
Can I export videos from multiple Vimeo accounts in one data flow?
No, one data flow connects to one Vimeo account. To export from multiple accounts, create separate data flows for each account and use Coupler.io's Append transformation to combine them into a single destination table.
Does "Public videos search" include my own videos?
Only if your videos are marked as public on Vimeo. If your videos are private or password-protected, they won't appear in search results, even if you're searching your own content. Use "My account videos" to export your full library regardless of privacy settings.
Can I filter videos by duration, resolution, or engagement level?
Yes, via advanced filters. You can filter by creation date, status, or other fields. However, Vimeo's public API doesn't support filtering directly by duration or view count in the data flow setup—you can do that in your destination (Google Sheets, BigQuery, etc.) after the export.
How often are plays and engagement stats updated?
Vimeo updates stats every 1–2 hours. If you need real-time stats, set your data flow to refresh more frequently, but keep in mind you may see the same numbers for a few hours.
What's the difference between "My account videos" and "Public videos search"?
My account videos exports all videos from your Vimeo account, including private and draft videos, with full access to all metadata and stats. Public videos search searches across all public videos on Vimeo matching your keywords and includes basic metadata and stats for public creators. Use the first for your own library and the second for research.
Can I send video data to AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. Export video names, descriptions, tags, and categories to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, Perplexity, or OpenClaw. You can use AI to bulk-generate SEO descriptions, optimize tags, or analyze content themes.
How do I join video stats with other data (e.g., campaign dates)?
After exporting to your destination, use Coupler.io's Join transformation to combine your Vimeo data with other sources. For example, join video creation dates with a marketing campaign table to measure content ROI. Alternatively, use native joins in Google Sheets, BigQuery, or your BI tool.
Why are some user fields blank even though they appear in my column selection?
Vimeo gives creators control over what information is public. If location, website, or bio fields are blank, it means that creator hasn't filled them in or has hidden them from public view. This is normal and not an error.
Can I filter out private or draft videos?
Yes. Use advanced filters and select only videos with a "playable" status, or filter by specific privacy settings in the "Video privacy" fields. Alternatively, remove draft rows after export using filters in your destination.
