# Reddit ads

Reddit Ads is the self-serve advertising platform for Reddit, letting you run campaigns across subreddits and interest-based audiences. It supports multiple ad formats including promoted posts, video ads, and conversation ads.

Connecting Reddit Ads to Coupler.io lets you export your campaign data into the tools you already use — no manual downloads or CSV juggling required.

**Why connect Reddit Ads to Coupler.io?**

* Pull campaign performance data automatically into Google Sheets, Excel, BigQuery, or Looker Studio
* Send Reddit Ads metrics to AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for analysis and reporting
* Combine Reddit Ads data with other ad platforms using Append or Join transformations to compare cross-channel performance
* Schedule automatic refreshes so your dashboards always reflect current data

## Prerequisites

Before you connect, make sure you have:

* A Reddit Ads account with at least one active ad account
* A Reddit Ads API key (generated from the Reddit Ads developer settings)
* Access to the ad accounts you want to pull data from

## Quick start

{% hint style="success" %}
Start with the **Campaign performance (daily)** entity — it gives you the richest set of metrics for analyzing what's working across your campaigns.
{% endhint %}

## How to connect

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
**Create a new data flow in Coupler.io.** Go to your Coupler.io workspace and click **Add data flow**. Search for and select **Reddit Ads** as your source.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Enter your Reddit Ads API key.** In the source settings, paste your Reddit Ads API key into the authentication field. You can find or generate this key in the Reddit Ads dashboard under your account's developer/API settings.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Select an entity.** Choose what data you want to pull — Campaigns, Ad groups, Ads, or Campaign performance (daily). You can add more sources to the same data flow later.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Specify your ad accounts.** Enter the ad account IDs you want to extract data from. If you manage multiple accounts, you can list them all here.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Set a date range (for daily performance reports).** If you selected the Campaign performance (daily) entity, use the date pickers to set a start date and end date for your report period.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Choose a destination.** Select where you want your data to land — Google Sheets, Excel, BigQuery, Looker Studio, or an AI destination like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Perplexity, or OpenClaw.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
**Run the data flow.** Click **Run** to execute a manual sync. Once it completes successfully, your Reddit Ads data will appear in your chosen destination.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.coupler.io/sources/category/ppc/reddit-ads.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
