Salesforce connection

In this article, we collected known issues which could lead to a failing connection with your Salesforce instance.

Trying to connect a Salesforce sandbox instance

Coupler.io does not support connecting to a Salesforce sandbox instance. Please make sure that you are trying connect to a production environment.

You can easily tell which type of environment you want to connect to Coupler.io.

Having strict OAuth policies

If users cannot self authorize or the IP restrictions are enforced, then Coupler.io will either fail to connect to your Salesforce instance or you will need to reconnect frequently.

To address this, please visit Setup / App / Connected Apps / Manage Connected Apps in Salesforce. Here, select Coupler.io and click on Edit Policies.

In the OAuth Policies section choose the following settings:

  • Permitted Users: All users may self-authorize

  • IP Relaxation: Relax IP restrictions

  • Refresh Token Policy: Refresh token is valid until revoked

These settings will ensure a smooth connection between Salesforce and Coupler.io. In case you still experience issues connecting Coupler.io with Salesforce, don’t hesitate to contact the Coupler.io support team.
