# Add user to organization or workspace

There are two ways to invite users, depending on what level of access you want to grant.

### Option 1: Invite to Organization <a href="#option-1-invite-to-organization-organization-owners-only-myavw" id="option-1-invite-to-organization-organization-owners-only-myavw"></a>

Action available only for Organization Owner&#x20;

**When to use this**: When you want someone to be an Organization Owner with full access to billing and all workspaces.

**Steps:**

From the Homescreen, go to Settings  -> Organization → Organization Owners tab

Click "Invite new user" button
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Enter the person's email address
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click "Send Invite"
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
They'll receive an email invitation to join as an Organization Owner
{% endstep %}

**Result**: The person becomes an Organization Owner with access to all workspaces and billing settings.

### Option 2: Invite to Workspace <a href="#option-2-invite-to-workspace-organization-owners-and-admins-begmg" id="option-2-invite-to-workspace-organization-owners-and-admins-begmg"></a>

Action available only for Organization Owner and Workspace Admin

**When to use this**: When you want someone to work in a specific workspace without organization-level access.

**Steps:**

From the Homescreen, go to Settings <i class="fa-arrow-right">:arrow-right:</i> Organization <i class="fa-arrow-right">:arrow-right:</i> Workspaces tab

Click "Manage" on the workspace where you want to invite the user
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Click "Invite new user" button
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Enter the invitation details: email, name and role ("Admin", "User", or "Guest".)

Click "Send Invite"
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
They'll receive an email invitation to join the workspace

**Result**: The person joins only the specific workspace with the role you assigned.
